Fluid and secure: how Added-Value payments fit inside WEVONE's escrow

Speed is only worth having if nothing breaks. The design question behind Added-Value payments was therefore not "how do we make payment instant" but "how do we make it instant without weakening protection".

Same escrow, different unit

Whatever the unit, the amount is held securely and released to the seller after the buyer confirms receipt, or at the end of the verification period, less applicable fees and commissions. Verified fact: this is the rule set out in the terms, and it does not change when part of the payment comes from an Added-Value balance.

Transparency before payment

The order summary shows the split: how much is settled in Wevars, how much in Wevars Added-Value, and what remains to be paid by card if anything. A seller's accepted ceiling is applied before the buyer confirms, never after.

Where an internal unit genuinely helps

• Corrections are immediate. A cancelled order can return the Added-Value portion to the buyer's balance without waiting on an external settlement cycle.
• Fewer failure points. No 3-D Secure timeout, no expired card, no cross-border decline on the covered portion.
• Auditability. Every movement is recorded against the account, with its origin and, for Added-Value, its maturity date.

Where it does not help

An internal unit does nothing about a badly described item, a parcel that never ships, or a member acting in bad faith. Those are handled by the ordinary mechanisms: identity checks, tracked shipping, reporting, moderation and the dispute path described in the terms.

Ambition: make the payment step the least interesting part of a transaction, because it simply works.

If I cancel, do I get my Added-Value back?

The Added-Value portion returns to your balance, keeping its original maturity date.

Does the seller receive less protection?

No. Release conditions are identical regardless of the unit used.
